How to prepare
6 things- 01Comfortable headphones. The music carries the session, so headphones make a real difference over speakers.
- 02Somewhere to lie down — a bed, a rug, a mat on the floor. You will be horizontal for most of the 90 minutes.
- 03An eye mask, or a darkened room. Removing visual input helps the attention drop inward.
- 04A blanket within reach. Body temperature can swing during the breath.
- 05Water nearby, and eat lightly. Nothing heavy in the two hours before.
- 06A space where you will not be interrupted, and a phone on silent.
What may come up
Normal- Crying, sometimes without a story attached to it.
- Quivering, shaking, or involuntary movement.
- Tingling in the hands, feet, or around the mouth.
- Waves of heat or cold.
- Laughter, or a sudden lightness.
- Very little at all — a quiet, restful 90 minutes.
Any of these is a normal response to the breath. Katie stays on the call throughout and will guide the pace.
